Classic Greek17 viewsI made this one for the CSI challenge blog, case file 406 and made sure it fits in with one of the challenges here.
http://csichallenge.blogspot.com/2023/03/march-case-files-first-reveal-deadline.html
It documents my daughter's trip to Athens, Greece, while she's studying abroad this semester.
Behind the Scenes17 viewsFamily taking photos with Texas bluebonnets
Encounter17 viewsI made this page for CSI challenge 447. The page is about an encounter with a porcupine while we were hiking.
Celebrate16 viewsThis page documents my daughter's 19th birthday. I used one of the May 2021 highlighted Laura Rumble sketches, plus a lot of Elle's Studio products that were in my stash.
May 2021 Card sketch - grad cards16 viewsI used the monthly card sketch to make these grad cards. The kids' school colors are blue and gold and navy blue/white/silver (although the silver looks really gray here!).
Thanks,
Cynthia
Grudge Match16 viewsThis page is about the Astros vs. Dodgers game that my son went to in LA in August. The Dodgers fans were not kind, yelling curse words and fighting in the stands (even with each other). My son and his friend are Astros fans, and they thought it was sort of funny. I thought the baseball cards in the urinals were funny, but their throwing water bottles at my son was not! Anyway - it was something to document, and I was able to use my stash, even better!
I took a SNS sketch and an ACOT title challenge too.
Bday Love16 viewsThis page is about my recent birthday dinner. We forgot to take any group photos, darnit, and these are just random pics from our phones. Good thing I made use of this Becky Fleck sketch, which was perfect for low-quality pics and paper scraps too. :)
Used some older Vicki Boutin, chipboard, and embies from my stash.
Thanks,
Cynthia
Descent into Hell16 viewsI created this for a Nov. 2023 CSI challenge. This documents our tour of Quinta de Regaleira in Sintra, Portugal. The Initiation Well has nine levels, like Dante's Inferno, and it leads to different tunnels, finally into sunlight. Freemason initiates used it to symbolize a journey through purification and rebirth.
Grateful16 viewsDocumenting my family's Thanksgiving 2023.
The design is based on a Sketch Savvy sketch posted on the Scrap Room blog.
Don't Stop the Music16 viewsLayout of my kids doing karaoke. They actually sang to "September" by Earth Wind and Fire.
"Do you remember...the 21st night of September?" lol
Red White & Blue Game15 viewsThis page documents the recent Texas A&M football game when everyone wore red white or blue shirts - honoring the 20th anniversary of 9/11. I love seeing the effect of the different tiers in the stadium!
I used a Becky Fleck sketch, some new Fancy Pants papers, and some OLD stamps.
Thanks,
Cynthia
Hit the Slopes15 viewsStash-busting page about my kids' ski trip. I Sketches in Thyme sketch #507.
By Design15 viewsI created this page for Sketches in Thyme, using sketch #511.
I was inspired by the CSI case file #385, the architecture theme, the colors, the borders and transparent (vellum) elements.
March 202215 viewsThis is my monthly pocket page for March for our family album. It includes pics/stories that I've already scrapped, plus others that don't warrant their own page. Using some old and new scraps here!
Goals15 viewsThis page describes how soccer has been in the US news lately. My soccer-loving husband and son love it!
Pinkfresh washi wreath card15 viewsFor the Nov. challenge to make an Xmas card
On (& Off) the Slopes15 viewsI documented two ski trips here - one for my husband and daughter in Utah in January, and one for my son in Colorado in Feb.
I used SNS sketch #169 for the design.
Feeling Blue15 viewsDocumenting our hikes in the Blue Mountains of Australia. I used a Sketch n Scrap sketch for the design.
Secret Hideout14 viewsOn a recent walk, I came upon this hideout that someone had build in a wooded area around our neighborhood retention pond. It had a hammock and a cleared area around it, probably a parking area for bikes. I think it's super-cool to have a hideout like this and was happy to have found it!
School Spirit14 viewsAs a supportive uncle, my husband set out to collect sweatshirts from all the colleges that my nieces attend/attended. He's done, with three teenagers left to go. I used a SOS sketch and lots of stash items.
