Broken Bow17 viewsBroken Bow is a state park in Oklahoma, and my husband's family decided to do a mini family reunion there. I say mini, because not everyone could go, but those of us who did enjoyed boating/swimming/tubing, hiking, family games and meals, and campfires with s'mores. We also had a fabulous cabin that could sleep 15 people!

Descent into Hell13 viewsI created this for a Nov. 2023 CSI challenge. This documents our tour of Quinta de Regaleira in Sintra, Portugal. The Initiation Well has nine levels, like Dante's Inferno, and it leads to different tunnels, finally into sunlight. Freemason initiates used it to symbolize a journey through purification and rebirth.
Get Outside13 viewsThis page is about our recent trip to several national parks in California, as well as my kids' trip to some parks in Arizona. It was a fabulous time - so beautiful to be outside, and getting exercise while hiking was a bonus!

My hubby and I had a lot of fun at this tour while on vacation - the Sydney Bridge Climb, over the Sydney Harbor. They made you wear special suits with a bunch of buckles, you couldn't wear watches or big earrings, they gave you straps for your sunglasses and hat - you had to take a breathalyzer test too!
Great views, and although my husband was a little nervous about the height, it was such a unique experience.

The page itself is about my family's trip to White Sands, NM - wide open sand dunes for all for sledding and photos!
