Join us all month long as we play our version of the Emmy Award-winning series show Survivor! The ultimate goal is the same - to Outwit, Outplay, and Outlast . . and ultimately be crowned Sole Survivor..

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing)

Today’s challenge is inspired by what I remember as one of my favorite parts of “SURVIVOR” growing up - the LIVE REUNION SHOW! I was in middle school when the show first came out, so I can distinctly remember the sheer shock my siblings and I had when Jeff Probst disappeared from the final tribal council and suddenly appeared on the set of a live show with all the contestants dressed up! So, for today’s challenge, create a LO featuring photos of any sort of reunion, this can be family, school, military homecoming or just friends who haven't seen each other in a while. Also since this was my favorite part as a teen, use your favorite color on the layout.

For my example, I chose photos from my second cousin’s first birthday party two years ago. This was the first real big family event we attended after the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and it was wonderful to see extended family and introduce them to my younger son! My favorite color is teal so that’s featured in my color scheme!
