A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
It's all about digging in our stash this month and pairing it with something new. I didn't realize I even had this 6x8 paper pad from The Paper Studio until I starting cleaning my craft room.
Once I found the paper pad, I knew right away what photos I wanted to scrap. I had my sketch, I had my photos and I had my paper. All that was left, was to find embellishments to match. I started digging through my embellishment drawer and found these die cuts by October Afternoon. I had ordered them through Peach Cheap sometime last year. I also found an old brad that matched the red, and of course, my trusty old tab punch. Once I had all the things laid out on my scrap table, my layout came together fairly quickly. Your challenge today is to use all the things. I want you to really dig through your stash and find items that aren't "matchy matchy" (different manufacturers) and create a layout. Dig out those old brads, buttons, die cuts, punches and see what you come up with.
