6/26 NATIONAL COCONUT DAY

Post by Tamara »

I'LL POST THE PIC AS SOON AS I CAN GET IT TO WORK.
Do you like it or hate it?

I love coconut especially the Neapolitan slab candy. Yesterday in Nevada they had some red, white and green ones from Mexico. Of course I can't eat them a lot and I did pass since I was already eating black licorice.

Did you know how versatile the coconut is? This incredible fruit hydrates, nourishes, and even helps build homes. Its water refreshes on a hot day, its meat enhances meals, and its oil finds a place in kitchens and beauty routines alike.
Even the husk and leaves become useful, woven into ropes, mats, and shelter. National Coconut Day celebrates all these benefits, reminding us how one simple fruit can do so much.

Summer starts in earnest on June 26 when National Coconut Day arrives! This sweet food holiday celebrates all things coconut, including the benefits coconut provides for a healthy body.

#NationalCoconutDay

The coconut offers sweet support for our bodies in several ways. We use the coconut in many different forms for our bodies and everyday cooking. From shredded coconut to milk, cream, water, and oil, each provides essential nutrients and flavor. Its antiviral and antimicrobial properties are notable as well.
Coconut oil alone falls into the superfood category due to its medium-chain triglyceride (MCTs) content and all that they seem to do. Whether supporting a weight loss program, moisturizing skin, and hair or metabolizing into energy, coconut oil plays a significant role in your bodyBeyond the fruit and water of the coconut that we consume as food, consumers also use the husk and shells as a potting medium, carbon filtration, charcoal, biofuel, and even organic cat litter. Another use for the husks is the production of coir, which manufacturers use in making mattresses, doormats, and more.

Beyond its many uses, the coconut also plays a huge role in global communities. Farmers in tropical regions depend on it for their income, turning every part of the fruit into something valuable.
It provides food, medicine, and industry, making life better in ways many people don’t even realize. This day isn’t just about enjoying coconuts—it’s about recognizing their impact on health, culture, and livelihoods across the world.
Enjoy the benefits of coconut, and share your favorite ways to use it. Whether it's a recipe to taste or one to make our skin or hair shine, we want to know.
