February 2025 - Fairy Tales
On February 26th we Celebrate "National Tell a Fairy Tale Day" - But why not celebrate it all MONTH long?? This month we intend to do just that! Let's celebrate the folklore genre and the stories of magic, enchantments and mythical beings that all take place "Once Upon a Time".
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
This challenge is all about Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. The story follows Ali Baba, a woodcutter, who finds a group of thieves with a hidden stash of gold that can only be accessed by saying the magic words “Open Sesame” to the door to open it. When he takes some of their gold and the thieves seek revenge, Ali Baba is saved numerous times by a slave girl named Morgiana.
So for this challenge you will need to “hide” something on your layout. You’ll also need to add something gold and a big title.
My hidden piece is the Mickey head that can be covered up by the black circle, the gold is the gold trident in the photo and of course the title is big.
