Join us as we pay homage to the one and only "King of Rock and Roll" - Elvis Presley. Presley's energized performances and interpretations of songs, and sexually provocative dance moves make for a fun and exciting month of challenges. So grab that peanut butter and banana sandwich, put on those blue suede shoes, & tell everybody in the whole cell block to come play along with us this month.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
Welcome to the first Meet Me In Memphis challenge. Today's challenge is all about Elvis's 68 Comeback Special that aired on NBC December 3rd, 1968. It was The King's first television appearance in more than 8 years and was regarded as one of his best performances. So for this challenge, I want you to focus on the word, COMEBACK. What would you like to see make a comeback? Perhaps it's bell bottoms, bomber jackets, rotary phones or maybe it's a scrapbooking technique, embellishment or paper manufacturer. I chose the latter for my layout, which is why I used all Basic Grey paper. I also want you to pull out those border punches and use a number or numbers somewhere on your layout.
