Scrap question of the day. October 11

Post by phillisw »

A follow up on last week’s question.
What kind of printer do you use, if you print your own photos? Do you print on 8x10 photo paper and then cut them out? Do you need special ink?
I want to purchase a photo printer and print my own photos. 😜

I love the Epson picture mate 400, pictures are beautiful and it is so easy to use. You can print on 4x6 or 5x7 paper. Recently I purchased an Epson 8550 which is a wide format. You can print up to 12x12 and larger formats.

I have a Canon wide-format printer, so I can print up to 13 x 19, which allows me to print every size I could want for scrapbook pages. The model I have is an older one but they have several newer ones to choose from. I use photo papers in 4 x6, 5 x 7, 8.5 x 11, 13 x 19 and either print collages or cut the paper to the size I need.

I have a Canon Selphy and I print mostly 4x4, but can print 4x6 and 2x3. If and when this one stops working, I will replace it with the Epson.

I have a Canon G3060 with inkwells. I used to use an Epson printer and was always going through ink. I find I have printed so much with this printer and not changed any inkwells yet. I do use 8x10 and cut them with my trimmer.

I could never afford the ink to print the amount of photos that I do. I would love one for an occasional pic. I have a cannon selfie my friend gave me brand new. I can't get it connected so it just sits. I got it to work once but it still won't print. IT is so frustrating

Thanks girls for all your information. I have a birthday gift card that I have not used so I want to spend it on a photo printer
