Americana - Red, White & Blue



Join us all month long as we pay homage to all things associated with the culture and history of America . . . whether it be apple pie, hot dogs, or baseball . . .we each have something that makes us feel nostalgic and proud of our great USA!

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....



The United States of America is made up of 50 states, including Alaska. How many states within the USA have you lived, visited or driven through? I was very fortunate to live in Texas, Illinois, Tennessee and my home state of SC.
For this challenge you must use a landscape photo with the sketch below. I would also like for you to use some type of metal again and stickers.

The city scape background is actually a long sticker that I cut in half so it would fit across the page.

I know is is not a state but Puerto Rico still is a part of the USA so I felt it was ok to use this beautiful view. Brads are my metal.

Patti, you're use of frames is great on this layout! I love those striped frames and the way you used the window frame to highlight the sailboat in your large photo. Terrific layout!!
