For my project, I was inspired by magical times of the year. And to me, no time was more magical than when my girls were tiny during the Christmas season. When my oldest was five, she wanted an American Girl Doll more than anything else. We decided to surprise her with a trip to the American Girl Doll store in Chicago. While we were on the train, she got a "special delivery" from the North Pole, her very own American Girl Doll. Watching her open that gift was truly magical. So, for my Sketch Monday project, not only do I challenge you to use this fun sketch by Brenda Ragsdale, but also to create a layout about a magical time in your life. Perhaps it's a holiday like I chose to document? Or maybe it was a wedding you attended? Or perhaps seeing your favorite band in concert? The possibilities are endless! One of the reasons I liked Brenda's sketch so much was because of its use of a variety of patterned papers. My final challenge to you is to incorporate as many scraps of paper as you can in a paper kit for this project. I got more mileage from this Crate Paper Christmas kit than I expected! I hope you have fun creating today, and I can't wait to see your work.
