Random Question of the Day - 02/27/2023

Post by tammyfolk »

. . . after seeing a certain members delicious breakfast pictures on Facebook, I thought I'd go ahead and ask.

What do you like to have for breakfast? Is it consistent during the week or do you like to change it up a bit?

Usually I eat a container of yogurt & a banana or a pack of Lance Crackers and a banana . . . and then on the weekends Shawn and I typically make breakfast together. Here lately it's been waffles, bacon and grits.

My breakfast is not consistent. Some days it might be nothing, other days it might be grits and bacon, biscuits and gravy or bacon egg and cheese burritos.

I did get up every day and make breakfast. Sometimes we have cream of wheat or oatmeal and other times we have scrambled eggs, English muffins or today we had leftover ham, eggs and toast. It’s just whatever is available. Sometimes I get tired of the same thing every day And I’ll make waffles or pancakes in between

I pretty much stick to the same thing every day since I get up early and dh sleeps in. We have a plethora of cereals to choose from so it's usually just cereal and coffee for me. Sometimes I will have some greek yogurt mixed with sugar free jello powder and granola.

We eat eggs everyday with bacon or ham. We also have waffles topped with strawberries and blueberries. For lent we’ll eat the eggs scrambled with pieces of tortilla on Fridays.

Can I ask what Grits are.

Our Breakfast is typically either rolled oats with fruit or scramble eggs and bacon

Eggs here in Australia have been in short supply for the last six months and have been rationed to half a dozen a shop. Usually none on shelf anyway

Grits are like a porridge made from boiled cornmeal. Very bland by themselves. People add butter, maple syrup or cheese to them.
