Good morning everyone. What's on your plate today?

I'm sad today. Kyle and I had to rush my moms dog, Chloe to the emergency vet Wednesday night. She was fine all day, and went down hill about 8 pm. She was vomiting, her breathing was labored and the inside of her mouth and tongue were cold. She collapsed in the floor. I called my mother to let her know I was taking her to the emergency vet in Columbia. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our sweet blue eyed Chloe. She was in an acute congestive heart failure and wouldn't make it through the night. It was my mothers decision to let her go. I was with her as she crossed over the rainbow bridge. I'm sad for my mother, I'm sad for me. I'm sad that I didn't get to spend more time with her. I only had her for 9 days, but it wasn't enough. I miss her. I miss her pacing, I miss her arooo's at feed time, I miss her blue eyes. I just miss her.

On a brighter note, it is freakin' cold here today. We're expecting a low of 13 tonight. It's suppose to be cold here the next several days. How's the weather in your area?

Oh Jan, I am so sorry for you and your mom. Sending hugs.

Woke up to a cold rain this morning and it's just gonna get colder as the day goes on. It's supposed to get down into the 20's tonight. I think that's a first for the 11 years I've lived in Florida. Need to head outside today and help dh cover up all our plants. Hopefully we don't lose any....especially the big palm in our front yard.
No other plans for today, maybe some scrapping this afternoon.

Jan, I'm so sorry. I'm not sure colder weather is a brighter note. The strong winds have died down and now it is just windy...and cold!
I'm working on Christmas cards today, Need to get them mailed! I always procrastinate with them.

Jan I am tearing up just reading about your moms dog and the love and care you brought to her this last week. You are an amazing dog helper. I am sad for you and your mom too.

DH is not working today so we will see if we don't beat each other up. I have to run get some fresh herbs for our first prime rib. He's having me watch the videos and making sure we have all of the things. Between the ham and this we will have plenty of meat on Christmas. We might be taking the boy grandkids to see a Christmas village train set up at a friends house. That will make for some great pics and I am excited to see it.

Jan, sorry for your and your mom’s loss! Sending big hugs.
It is very cold here, we have temperatures in the 20’s but the weather report said it feels like the teens! Hopefully our electricity won’t shut down. Our area cannot handle low temperatures.

I am so sorry for the loss of your moms pet. I under that pain completely.

It is currently 5 degrees here with a wind chill of -15. This is not the norm for us but we are staying warm inside.

Jan, ah so sorry for the loss of your mom's dog, which you only just got to know. we had rain this am and then snow and the power was going on and off all afternoon and evening. I did manage to get dinner made and wrap presents. Now time for bed.

We’ve had the extreme cold temperatures Wednesday night through Friday afternoon. It finally warmed at about 2 pm to 20 degrees.
