Jan 22 - Stash Challenge

Join us all month long in January as we post challenges with the focus of scrapping with our unused stash! Let's face it, we all have a scrappy stash …. things that we are hoarding, forgot we had, never got around to using … yeah, you know you have it, too!

So join us as we say “OUT WITH THE OLD . . . IN WITH THE NEW!”
For this challenge I want you to use up some of your Washi Tape. I have a ton of it and some of it’s so old that it’s either losing its stickiness or it’s too sticky and I can’t get it off the roll without ripping it. If for some strange reason you don’t have any Washi Tape, you can use ribbon, lace or even small strips of paper from your scrap pile of course.



A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing)..

That's a great challenge and example! I need to use washi more often.

When doing a layout with washi earlier in the month I found 2 rolls I had to throw away because they were all stuck together.

and sometimes you've had them for so long that they tear not where you want it too. I only use it when someone suggests it so I love the hint to get me running to my huge drawer and basket of washi!!
