It's Saturday Ladies....04/29/2017

Post by tammyfolk »

So G and I are about to head out the door...he has to be at the school at approx 9:30 for a parade. It's actually the first performance of the new year, that doesn't actually start until the summer....It a small 6 block or so parade and it's the Loyalsock Little League opening day parade. They march in front of all the teams until they get to the ball field and then play the National Anthem. All the new marching band kids get to march too...

Then errands....car needs inspected, scripts need picked up, Shawn has an eye appointment, and the bunny/critters (lizards) need food!

Then G man has another Honk! performance tonight.....busy day here.

How about you??

Good morning!

Looks like we're in for a cool, rainy weekend here in the "thumb" of Michigan. I've got some yarn that is begging me to do something with it.

I've had a fairly busy week (for me). I met with the lawyer to transfer ownership of my Dad's house to my older son. He and his family have been living in it for the past four years (until the boiler blew a couple of months ago). We are now able to get the loans necessary to do the repairs so they can move back in.

I've also been trying to walk a bit every day. I actually walked two miles yesterday. Of course it was to McDonalds and back home, but it is good to have a goal ;)

We had all our SNOW and rain the last few days. Yes I said Snow!! It is sunny but a chill in the wind. I have already exercised and put layouts into the scrapbook. Now we are headed to our grandsons soccer game. Hoping not to freeze, I don't really have anything that needs to be done today so I am just going with whatever. I would like to get some of my stamp sets up and posted for sale. I really need them out of here but refuse to just give them away. lol

It started snowing before dark yesterday and hasn't stopped yet. It's a heavy, wet snow and it's really dragging down the tree limbs. We had soe nasty winds last night but it's pretty calm now. Our dog ran out to pee and tore back in the house. Usually she wants to walk but today she just wanted back in the house. Our electricity went off and back on a few times over the night and this morning. I am not budging out of my house today! This day is perfect for spending quality time in my scrap room!

Today is my Sat. off but had to go to work for a few hours any way. Met with some clients building a multi-million dollar house so you don't tell them, "no". Now home and doing laundry and cleaning but giving myself permission to clean a room and then scrap and clean and scrap and clean and scrap. Hope I scrap more than clean!

Still haven't picked up a hook and yarn, but I got a nice nap in. Nor has it started to rain. But the temperature has sure dropped. Earlier this morning it was in the 50's and it is now in the mid 30's. Gotta keep reminding myself that it is still April.

It has been raining here all day long. Lots of flooding, but luckily we live on the top of a little hill, so we're okay - just hoping we can get out when we need to!

Fun reading about your busy days and weather that is so different from mine. I went to Oxford (ms) for an arts fest. Very warm and windy. Sadly didn't see a lot I wanted to buy. I think the wind threw off my game. And the mimosas. Anyway, it was a fun day.
