A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Lucille Ball and Vivian Vance were very close friends in real life sharing a deep sister like bond that lasted long passed the show until Vances death in 1979. Neither one could stand the other one depressed and would work and to cheer each other up. Vance felt Ball helped her become a better, less lazy actor, pulling her along while Ball valued her loyalty and affection. Their bond was often described as being like sisters.
