From chocolate-covered memories to heart-warming hijinks, we want to see pages that sparkle with humor, nostalgia, and classic sitcom charm. Whether you’re scrapbooking romance, mishaps, or moments that made you say, “Lucy, you’ve got some scrap-pin’ to do!” — this month it's all about having fun while you create.
So dust off those vintage vibes, channel your inner red-headed troublemaker, and let your creativity run wild (just… maybe not as wild as a conveyor belt full of truffles). Because around here, we don’t just scrapbook . . .
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
Hello everyone! I'm starting off this week's "I Love Lucy" themed project with a sketch featured at Sketch N Scrap during their 9th Birthday Bash celebration along with the color red. I was inspired by Lucille Ball's red hair and decided to make red the main color of this project. I have a large stash of Valentine themed patterned paper with various shades of pinks and reds that I wanted to use and decided to make red the base color to build this project from. Because the patterned papers are "busy," I decided to use a black and white photo of my daughter from her senior picture collection. My challenge to you on this Sketch Monday is to not only use the sketch in some way found below to design your layout, but also make the color red the primary color of your layout. As an added bonus, add some hearts onto your page to pay homage to the iconic "I Love Lucy" logo. I'm excited to see how you all interpret this project!
