SQOTD 1/14

Post by Jan Mosier »

When creating a layout, do your papers and embellishments/ephemera need to match your photos? For example, if you are a scrapping an everyday photo of someone working in a garden, does your paper and embellishments/ephemera need to be garden themed?

yes. It's the designer in me... I have to put the whole room together and make it flow. When I try to go outside my box, it causes me frustration.

Not necessarily, for instance I may not have garden paper so I match to the color and pattern of the paper.

I try to follow along with the photo theme but if I don't have anything to match I'll just pull out the colors in the photo.
