This December, we’re taking a magical trip to the Island of Misfit Toys — where every imperfect creation finds its place and every quirky layout shines! Whether your photos don’t quite match, your embellishments march to their own beat, or your color combos are just a little offbeat, this is the month to embrace the beauty of being unique.
Join us at Cookin' up Creations as we celebrate the wonderfully “imperfect” side of creativity. After all, just like a spotted elephant or a train with square wheels, every scrapbook page deserves a little love and a whole lot of sparkle.
So dust off those forgotten supplies, rescue those unfinished pages, and let’s give our “misfit” projects a happy home — one glittery layout at a time!
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

The residents of the Island of Misfit Toys have strange quirks about them - square wheels on a train, an elephant with polka dots, a cowboy who rides an ostrich, etc. Let's celebrate their uniqueness by creating pages with a few quirky items:
1. A title with mismatched alphas
2. Use photos with no people (Photos of parts of people is acceptable - just no faces.)
3. Only half of an embellishment
My quirky example includes a title with die cut alphas and a wood veneer word, photos of my friend and I comparing our "work" shoes, and half of a doily at the bottom of the page.

I can't wait to see what quirkiness you add to your pages!
Happy Scrapping!!
