Would you rather have a real Christmas tree with the pine smell or an artificial one that lasts forever?

I would rather have a real one, but there's an artificial one taking up space in my living room right now.

Artificial because a real tree makes such a mess with the pine needles in our carpet.

As a child the real now was all we had and I loved them. It was DH the=at convinced me years ago to join the artificial gang. It is less mess and more practical and no fire hazard. that always scares me of having a house fire.

I grew up with an artificial one and then when I got out on my own I had real trees until we moved to Florida. I miss the pine smell but not the mess.
