SQOTD July 28, 2025

Post by Lolis »

🧼 When you’re in creative mode, do you clean as you go to keep your space tidy, or do you let the paper fly and clean up only after the magic’s made?
Or maybe you’re a “new project, fresh start” kind of scrapper who resets before diving in again? ✂️✨
Let’s hear your style—and no shame if you’ve ever lost your scissors under a pile of embellishments!

When I’m in a creative mode I don’t like getting distracted by cleaning. I usually keep getting things out and putting them to the side as I’m working. My area ends up looking like a tornado passed through it. I have lost scissors and other things while I’m scrapbooking, that’s the reason I have doubles of almost all my tools. I might put away some of the stuff after I’m done with a project, but most definitely I like to have a fresh start when I begin a new page. That’s when I find any lost items, and everything goes back to its home.

Like Lolis, I don't like getting distracted with cleaning when I'm in a creative mood. When I've finished a project I clean it all up and find many things hidden under stuff I've hauled out.

I let the paper fly and just pile up papers and embellishments. Then I will start another page and just move things around. I do a good clean up once in a while. Probably after a few days of scrapping and then I may find the scissors or other tool that I was looking for.

I'm a put things to the side and clean up afterwards, or until my desk gets so messy I don't have any room left on the sides. :D

I do both. If my desk is clean I keep it clean as I go. If I have been cleaning or organizing, and a LO needs to get done, I work on top of the pile. The first is my usual but I do like to organize so who knows what each day holds.
