Scrapbooking is all about capturing memories, celebrating the good times, and sharing positivity—just like a warm, fresh donut lifts your spirits. So, let’s channel that donut energy—soft, sweet, and impossible not to love—into every little piece we create. Because in the end, a scrapbook full of happy moments (and maybe a few donut doodles) is one of the best treats of all! Let's make this month one to remember.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
For today's challenge, I was inspired by the round shape of the donut, in other words, a baseball. My Frenchie LOVES this particular baseball toy. It's squishy and round, like a donut. Now it's more like a cream filled donut with the innards licked out since he's removed the stuffing and carries it with him everywhere. Nevertheless, HE LOVES IT! My challenge to you for today is to create a project featuring something round like a donut/baseball. Maybe it is a ball themed layout like mine? Or maybe you could feature a picture of your loved one on a Ferris wheel or merry-go-round? The possibilities are endless! As an added bonus, baseball can be a messy game, so ink up your project in some way. (I inked up the sides of my patterned papers with black ink). I'm excited to see your round scrapbook pages!
