Let’s get scrapping, Monkees fans! Whether you’re using vintage vibes, bright ‘60s colors, or a mix of modern and retro, let these themes bring a little extra joy to your scrapbooking journey. And remember—keep on Monkeeing around!

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

Flower power was associated with the late 1960s hippie movement—peace, love, psychedelic art, and protest against the Vietnam War. While The Monkees were a made-for-TV band with a more mainstream pop sound, they were active during the height of flower power culture (mid-to-late ’60s) and reflected some of its aesthetics, in a more pop-friendly, commercialized version of the 1960s counterculture. The Monkees represent the more accessible, pop-culture face of the flower power era.

Your challenge today is to:
• Add flowers to your layout to represent the flower power vibe.
• Include a large title.
• Add at least one tab behind a photo (or two if you’d like).

Keep it groovy and have fun!

I added the journaling after I took a photo: Oldest winery in Illinois - 17 acres and apples and grapes, harvested to make 5,000 gallons of wine
