A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Welcome to a new week of challenges at Cookin Up Creations! For today's challenge, I was inspired by the Elvis Presley hit from 1956, "Hound Dog." I'm not sure how many times I have hummed this tune as I've cared for my dogs, especially my hound mix featured in this layout. She is a diva and will be "...crying all the time..." if she is not comfortable or wants to go on a walk. My challenge to you is to not only use this sketch from my former design team "2 Broke Girls," but also to create a project featuring an animal. Perhaps it's your pet? Or maybe it's a bird that frequents your bird feeder? Or maybe it's a creature at a zoo or aquarium? The options are endless! For an added twist, add something "round" to your project, (I added a button), since this song was one of Elvis's classic records. I'm excited to see your creation!
