I was driving back from a trip to town by myself & as I came over the top of the mountain pass & came around the corner there was this big black bear getting ready to cross the road! Thankfully there wasn’t anyone behind me so I slowed down & grabbed my cellphone to take pictures. He had been over to the Harris River to fill up on some salmon & was on the way back to his den. Steve & I have seen him at least once every year since then & he has gotten quite a bit bigger!

Scenic Drive13 viewsThese are pictures from 2016. They’re from our drive from our home to Craig (35 miles each way). That winter was very cold and snowy so the icicles formed very quickly on the side of the mountain next to the road. These are the biggest but you can see these all along the way.
