A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Ice cream is a wonderful treat, but it sure can be messy! Case in point...these pics of my daughter having her first servings of chocolate soy ice cream. She is milk allergic; we learned this the hard way when she was 5 months old and let her try real ice cream. Long story short, she left the doctor with a milk allergy diagnosis and an epi pen. When we introduced her to soy ice cream...WHOLE.OTHER.STORY! She loved it! And I think she wore as much ice cream on her face as she ate! So, in honor of my daughter's messy soy ice cream face, I challenge you to make a "mess" of your project. I made a "mess" by inking my pages, using a variety of papers from various lines, and mixing shapes on my project. I had so much fun being messy! I can't wait to see your "mess"/masterpiece!

Here's my 2nd one. I used teal and gold misting, enamel dots as 'my messy'.

I used spray mist to splatter, stamped in black ink, and doodled in white pen!

I used a whole mess of small scraps on this layout. I cut up a couple of frames, scattered some punched hearts, and threw together different shapes for a banner in the corner.

Fun challenge!
