August 2023 - I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream . . . for Ice Cream
Whether you like it in a cone, a bowl, in a sandwich, or straight from the tub - Join us as we celebrate the sweetest tasting frozen dessert ever . . . ICE CREAM.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? I have always been a vanilla girl. My second favorite is maple walnut. My challenge is to create a LO with the color of your favorite ice cream and you can add 1 other main color. I chose white, the color of vanilla, and blue as my other second color. I did use tan for the walnuts in maple walnut. You will probably spill some ice cream while making your page so go ahead and doodle, use string, ink, or whatever on your page. Just let us know what "spilled" onto your page. Don't forget to tell us your favorite flavor of ice cream!!

When I go to our local ice cream parlor I always get Black Cherry but I also really love Mint Chip BUT if I'm really going for over the top ice cream it is a Turtle Sundae from Culvers every time.
I used black and pink for my Black Cherry, some mint green for the Mint Chip, and the Carmel and nut print for the Turtle Sundae. I also used lots of layers cuz I never go single dip. I did the base layer with the word paper as my spills cuz I'm usually with family when I have ice cream but also used circles in case the words didn't meet the requirements.

I got 2 done for this today. Here's the first. My favorite ice cream is Chocolate Chip. I used brown and teal and my spilled item is the misting.
