Join us all month long in January as we post challenges with the focus of scrapping with our unused stash!

Let's face it, we all have a scrappy stash ... things that we are hoarding, forgot we had, never got around to using … yeah, you know you have it, too!

So join us as we say, “OUT WITH THE OLD . . . IN WITH THE NEW!”

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing)....



Happy New Year! If you are like me, I have a TON of Christmas scrapbooking kits where I only used a few pieces of paper. For this project, I decided to revisit a Carta Bella kit I purchased a few years ago to create this project. To get maximum use of all the papers in the kit, and because it is Monday sketch day, I chose this fun sketch from my former design team 2 Broke Girls so I could use a variety of papers and scraps to showcase pictures from this past Christmas. I can't wait to see what you all create using your stash!

I too am guilty of having way too much Christmas products! I like the sketch with all the small papers - great LO you made with it. (Wow, what a gorgeous tree in your pic!)

Based very loosely on the sketch. All except the background paper came from my scrap bags and the background paper I have had for years.
