Join us for some fun times as we countdown to Christmas. Starting December 1, the countdown will feature a daily post that may be a holiday tip, a fun activity, a game, a challenge, a recipe, or other surprises!

You will want to check in every day because you never know when Santa might leave a scrapping goodie for you to claim!

Remember - A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations.

Just a tip about wrapping your presents . By now we all should have started to wrap those presents and tried to be a bit echo friendly.
When our children where small we always had Christmas drawings or the school drawings brought home to be thrown out after a while.
I would always save these and have the kids add some cut outs (cut from old Christmas Paper) then wrap the grandparents presents in this paper . My Mother would wrap presents in to a piece of material, either left over or with an IOU say for one pair of pyjamas or a dress.
My Mother in law use to add ribbon the girls could wear later on
I still wrap presents using either material or a new pillow case .
Anyone receiving a home made Christmas cake it would be wrap in a new tea towel.
I also save the Christmas / Birthday paper and re use it in another way,
