Cookin' Up Creations

Challenges will be based on the "Birthday Theme"....but not necessarily on the "specific birthday"...the day itself, the person, the gifts, food, games, new life in general (Spring)/ Newness......the possiblilites are limitless...

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! For today's challenge, in honor of all things Irish, I challenge you to use a touch of green on your page celebrating all things birthday! Here is my take on the challenge.



This is my cousin & I during a trip we took to Boston almost 2 years ago. A very nice woman volunteered to take this picture of us as we were standing in front of a gate at Harvard University. I think this picture perfectly captures our friendship. And as an added bonus to this project, today, St. Patrick's Day, is her birthday! I thought she would be the perfect subject matter for a touch of green project!

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

We took cuttings from my mother-in-law's huge rhodie bush and brought it to our property. It first bloomed in 2019. Waiting for it to warm up enough for it to bloom again this year! I used Nuvo Embossing Mousse and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist for the background. The enamel dots are Nuvo Crystal Drops.
