Fire ants....

do you have them where you live? If so, what do you use to get rid of them?
We have a lot of sand here where I live and the fire ants are really bad. I walked outside in my crocs to chat with Kyle while he was changing the oil in his vehicle the other day and the ants must have been moving because they tore my feet and ankles up! I was stung twice on the back of one leg, both ankles, top of both feet and between my toes. I said enough is enough! I grabbed the 2 bags of Ortho granules that I had bought and starting covering every mound I saw in my yard, Kyle's yard as well as the pecan orchard.

We don't have them here at least in our neighborhood or this house. We have them in the dirt or desert spaces. We just sprinkled that ant killer powder on them.
