July 17th- White + Orange

Join us all month long in July as we focus on the color WHITE, specifically White plus one additional Color. *Black can be used as an accent color only, not as the dominant color. No other colors can be used.
All submissions during the month of July must be at least 75% White + the specified Challenge Color. Only Scrapbook layouts will be accepted this month.
For today’s challenge you must use ORANGE with white. When I think of orange I think FALL!! So I went to my pile of unscrapped Fall pictures and chose this one of my sister-in-law, brother and nephew on their front porch all decked out for Fall from a few years back! I used a variety of manufacturers to create this layout and I love how it turned out! To make the two patterns not blend into each other so much I mounted the word paper on black cardstock to "pop" it up off the plaid orange paper....with just a hint of black showing it adds so much without taking away from the color orange!
A new Blue Plate Special challenge will be posted every Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. All participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
