Grab your glitter, your photos, and your best “Vitameatavegamin” smile — because February is all about celebrating friendship, laughter, and a little lovable chaos… Lucy-style!
From chocolate-covered memories to heart-warming hijinks, we want to see pages that sparkle with humor, nostalgia, and classic sitcom charm. Whether you’re scrapbooking romance, mishaps, or moments that made you say, “Lucy, you’ve got some scrap-pin’ to do!” — this month it's all about having fun while you create.
So dust off those vintage vibes, channel your inner red-headed troublemaker, and let your creativity run wild (just… maybe not as wild as a conveyor belt full of truffles). Because around here, we don’t just scrapbook . . .
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
I Love Lucy was adapted for television from the popular radio comedy My Favorite Husband, which featured Lucille Ball opposite Richard Denning. The radio show was written by Jess Oppenheimer, Madelyn Pugh, and Bob Carroll Jr., who all went on to write for I Love Lucy.
My challenge to you is to scrap:
a couple to represent Lucy and Ricky
use ink splatters to represent the chaos in their marriage and show
use some kind of netting on your page to represent the "tangles" that were part of the show
add a heart to show the love of Lucy and Ricky and the love of the show
Here is my page:
