National & World Days – October 29

Today we’re highlighting World Stroke Day!
It’s a great reminder to know the warning signs of a stroke — acting quickly can save a life.

Remember the acronym FAST:
F – Face drooping
A – Arm weakness
S – Speech difficulty
T – Time to call 911

Knowing what to look for makes a big difference!

Question for you:
Did you already know what FAST stands for, or did you just learn something new today?

It is a good reminder. DH is going through testing now and currently has these symptoms

I didn’t know this, but I do now.

I had seen it before, but for sure I needed a refresher. My son had a stroke about 8 years ago when he was in college, luckily his brother was there and he called an ambulance. The doctor said it had been the energy drinks and workout supplements. It happened the evening right after his last final exam for the semester.

I did learn this in my airline training but always good to refresh.

I did not know this acronym for a sroke. Thanks for sharing.
