As I look out the window, my yard is covered in leaves, which brings back memories of the falls of my youth and playing in the leaves. Not only was it fun to jump into the piles of leaves, but we also made houses by raking leaves into lines as the walls and creating rooms. And of course, we enjoyed the leaf bonfires with the roasting of hot dogs and marshmallows.

Do you have fun fall memories? Please share them with us.

I didn't really experience fall until I moved to Maine as an adult. I loved going out in the woods and kicking my way through the piles of leaves.

Raking leaves every fall was a chore for my sister and me. Fond memories, no! It was a chore, and if we didn't do it, mom would break off a switch and beat our asses with it right out there in the yard for all passerby's to see.

We live in an area where we have to drive to the mountains to look at the best ones. at our other house with kids growing up they would rake them for fun and bury each other in them.

I never experienced real fall as a child.
