From robot butlers to astro-antics, we’ve got futuristic prompts to spark your creativity and launch your layouts into hyperspace. So grab your glitter, power up your die-cutter, and get ready to scrap like it’s 2062!

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing)…

Rosie is the Jetson's robotic maid and housekeeper. Introduced in the first episode of the series, she speaks with a Brooklynn accent and frequently refers to George and Jane as Mr. and Mrs. J. Rosie is an older model XB-500 (the only one Mrs. Jetson could afford) that the Jetson's bought from U-Rent a Maid. She is a mostly blue metal robot with a cylindrical head, clawlike hands, and she rolls around on caster wheels. She is hard-working and good friends with Mrs. Jetson.

Your challenge today is to use metal (to represent the robot), circles (to represent the various round parts of Rosie), and scallops (to represent her white apron and hat).

I used staples on the journaling strips as my metal element, a die-cut circle and enamel dots, and a die cut border strip with scallops.

Have fun creating today and remember to post your creation to this thread by November 3 for a chance to win the monthly prize!
