From robot butlers to astro-antics, we’ve got futuristic prompts to spark your creativity and launch your layouts into hyperspace. So grab your glitter, power up your die-cutter, and get ready to scrap like it’s 2062!

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing)…

Welcome to the Space Age! The Jetsons was a colorful cartoon set in the space age. Let’s kick off the month using bright colors (no pastels and keep naturals to a minimum) and stars on a layout. As an added challenge, use a stencil on your layout.

I used the Simple Stories collection kit called Fun Times and it has tons of bright colors! I used a sunshine stencil outlined in black fine point sharpie with star stickers and star die cuts.

Have a far out time creating!
