If you have been playing along, you should have a few scraps left from the junk journal you made. This month, we are going to use some of those scraps to make belly bands for our journals.
Cut your scraps into strips; some wide some thin. You will need a base to apply the strips to. Cut a strip of cardstock depending on the size of the pages in your journal. For my pages, I was able to cut a 2 inch strip of cardstock for my base. Once your base is cut, you can start adhering your strips.

After the strips are adhered, it's time to decorate. You can stamp, add splatters, ephemera and you can even run the entire belly band through your embossing machine.

And here is what it looks like in your journal.

You can slide photos, tags, large ephemera, letters, envelope or journaling cards under the belly band. Just make sure you only glue the top and bottom of the belly band to your page.
