Wednesday 9/3 - Stone Age and Wood
Posted: Wed Sep 03, 2025 8:32 am
Join us all month long as we take a creative journey back to the Stone Age with a Flintstones-themed scrapbooking adventure! Embrace the prehistoric charm of Bedrock as you transform everyday memories into dino-mite keepsakes, bursting with stone-age style and personality.

Hop into your foot-powered scrapbook-mobile, grab those bone-shaped embellishments, and let your creativity roll—because this month, we’re getting back to our roots, and it’s gonna rock the (quarry) house. Yabba Dabba Doo!
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

Today I thought we would turn our focus to the Stone Age by digging deep into our stash. For this challenge I want you to use as much of your old stash as you can. That includes, patterned papers and embellishments. I would also like for you to include wood on your project to represent the car Fred Flinstone drives, as it's made with wood, stone and fabric. If you don't have wood, you can substitute it for wood grain paper or you can use something to represent stone or fabric. Also include a negative of some sort on your layout, as well as some background work.
