This month at Cookin’ Up Creations, we’re turning our creative tanks into aquariums of inspiration! Whether your scrappy stash is teeming with color or hiding a few quirky surprises like that one-eyed googly fish, we’re challenging you to open the lid and show us what’s swimming inside.

From bubbly embellishments and underwater hues to layouts that make waves with motion and texture, this month we’ll explore a different part of your crafty ecosystem. Think of it like cleaning out your fish tank—only way more fun and way less smelly.
It’s time to check the filter, stir the waters, and let your creativity flow free. What’s in your tank? Let’s find out—one page at a time.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

When I think of fish tanks, I think of clear water, beautiful, colorful fish swimming around inside the tank, bubbles from the filter floating to the top of the tank, decor for the fish to hide behind. So your challenge today is to show water in your layout. This could be children playing in a pool, puddle or under a sprinkler. It could be a lake, ocean or waterfall. If you can't find a photo, use waves of paper. Also include something that that starts at the bottom of the page and goes to the top. This could be pattern paper, embellishments, photos, ink, stamped images or stenciling. Also include your favorite colors on your layout. Purple is not mine, but pink is.
