The rule traditionally dictates that white shoes should be worn from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
My question is, do you own any white shoes?

The only white pair of shoes I own are some slip on Sketcher snickers.

Just wondering why this would be a thing since wearing white shoes means looking dirty once they hit the street. No I don't have any white shoes and the tan ones I just bought have to be wiped down a lot.

Remember the movie "Serial Mom" (1994) where there’s a scene where the character Beverly Sutphin kills a juror for wearing white shoes after Labor Day, which she believes is a fashion faux pas. Beverly states, "You can't wear white after Labor Day!" and hits the juror with a phone, claiming, "Didn't your mother tell you?”  Based on a real story or so it claims!

No, I don't have any. I remember growing up we followed that funny rule.
