Here we come, walking down the street . . . ready to get groovy with some Monkees-themed scrapbooking fun? Whether you’re a Daydream Believer or just someone who loves a good creative challenge, we'll have you monkeying around with your scrapbook supplies in no time! Let’s dive into some Monkees-inspired scrapbooking challenges, based on ALL things Monkees - from their names, lyrics from their iconic songs, and their TV show.

Let’s get scrapping, Monkees fans! Whether you’re using vintage vibes, bright ‘60s colors, or a mix of modern and retro, let these themes bring a little extra joy to your scrapbooking journey. And remember—keep on Monkeeing around!

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

Aspiring filmmaker Bob Rafelson developed the initial idea for The Monkees in 1962 and tried selling it to Revue Productions, the television division of Universal Pictures, but was unsuccessful.[8] In May 1964, while working at Screen Gems, Rafelson teamed up with Bert Schneider, whose father, Abraham Schneider, headed the Colpix Records and Screen Gems Television units of Columbia Pictures. Rafelson and Schneider ultimately formed Raybert Productions.[9] The Beatles' films A Hard Day's Night and Help! inspired Rafelson and Schneider to revive Rafelson's idea for The Monkees. As "Raybert Productions", they sold the show to Screen Gems Television on April 16, 1965.

For today's challenge we are going to focus on the TV SHOW itself. For this challenge I want to see a FILM STRIP on your layout. And like a movie set, let's add some BACKGROUND work to our layouts. I also would like to see HEARTS on your layout.

Here is my layout.
