On February 26th we Celebrate "National Tell a Fairy Tale Day" - But why not celebrate it all MONTH long?? This month we intend to do just that! Let's celebrate the folklore genre and the stories of magic, enchantments and mythical beings that all take place "Once Upon a Time".
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
I chose the Fairy tale of the Ugly Duckling.
A family of ducklings always laughs at one of their siblings because he doesn’t look like them. The ugly duckling feels sad and lonely.
When he grows up, he sees his reflection and realizes that he looked different from his siblings because he actually wasn’t a duck at all. He was a swan.
So my challenge to you is to use the color yellow representing baby ducks, squares,mirror images or bling. I happen to have some mirrors in my stash so I opted to put them on my layout. Or you could mirror the image like I did with the squares on the left side and the right side reflecting the same identical
look.
