Join us as we pay homage to the one and only "King of Rock and Roll" - Elvis Presley. Presley's energized performances and interpretations of songs, and sexually provocative dance moves make for a fun and exciting month of challenges. So grab that peanut butter and banana sandwich, put on those blue suede shoes, & tell everybody in the whole cell block to come play along with us this month.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
Elvis paid $10,000 to have the outfit made by Los Angeles designer Bill Belew, who created all of The King's stage wardrobe between 1968-1977. It captured the rock 'n' roll legend's fascination with peacocks as a good luck symbol and was his favorite jumpsuit. He also wore it for the cover of his album, Promise Land. In August 2008, the jumpsuit sold at auction for $300,000, which was the most ever paid for an original Elvis suit.
Your challenge is to use the photo below as inspiration for your layout. I would also like to see some white space and rhinestones to represent his white jumpsuit. And last but not least, like Elvis who made his mark in rock n roll history, I want you to make your mark by using your stamps on your layout.
