Join us as we pay homage to the one and only "King of Rock and Roll" - Elvis Presley. Presley's energized performances and interpretations of songs, and sexually provocative dance moves make for a fun and exciting month of challenges. So grab that peanut butter and banana sandwich, put on those blue suede shoes, & tell everybody in the whole cell block to come play along with us this month.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
For today's project, I was inspired by the memoir "From Here to the Great Unknown" about the life of Lisa Marie Presley written by her daughter Riley Keough.

This book was one of the best ones I read last year. It was fascinating reading about Lisa Marie's life as a young girl at Graceland. One of the activities she talked about often in the book was how much she enjoyed riding golf carts around the property, especially with her father. As I was planning this project, I came across these pictures of my daughter "driving" a golf cart with her Dad around Dataw Island, South Carolina looking for alligators. I thought these pictures would be perfect for a project about Elvis. My challenge to you is to not only create a project using the sketch found below being featured by Sketch n Scrap for their January Facebook challenge, but to also create a project featuring someone you love, or you, riding something. Perhaps it's a golf cart like I featured. Or maybe it's a bicycle? Or a ride at an amusement park? The possibilities are endless. As an added bonus, since most riding activities happen outdoors, add some type of natural element to your project. I used leaves by Prima Marketing to give my project an island vibe. I'm excited to see your take on this challenge!
