January 2025 - Meet Me In Memphis
Join us as we pay homage to the one and only "King of Rock and Roll" - Elvis Presley. Presley's energized performances and interpretations of songs, and sexually provocative dance moves make for a fun and exciting month of challenges. So grab that peanut butter and banana sandwich, put on those blue suede shoes, & tell everybody in the whole cell block to come play along with us this month.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
Elvis had a lot of hits with the word Blue in the title. IE: Blue Christmas, Blue Hawaii, Blue Moon, Blue Suede Shoes, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain and several more. So for this challenge let’s use several different shades of blue on our layout. He was also known for shaking his hips so how about we use some zigzags for that and add some stars for his star power.
I used 9 different shades of blue, some wooden arrows for the zigzags and lots of stars.
