Join us as we pay homage to the one and only "King of Rock and Roll" - Elvis Presley. Presley's energized performances and interpretations of songs, and sexually provocative dance moves make for a fun and exciting month of challenges. So grab that peanut butter and banana sandwich, put on those blue suede shoes, & tell everybody in the whole cell block to come play along with us this month.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
Elvis Presley loved cars and had quite a few Cadillacs. So, since cars are made of metal, let's add some metal to our layouts. Along with that add some stars and use something that you’ve had in your stash for a looooonnnngggg time. On my page everything is really old…at least 10 yrs old except for the copper foil paper and photos.

Super fun challenge and great layout. Would it be cool to do a layout with an old car. I think I have one.

Both the metal snaps and the pattern paper are old---as well as the original picture.

Background paper is from one of Simple Stories earliest lines. Metal embellishments and journaling tag are a good 20 years old.
I failed on the star part and went with enamel dots instead---sorry--but had to go with the way the LO spoke to me.
So it's OK if it doesn't count for the challenge.

what a fun page. Love that color combo, the ripped journalling paper at the bottom and the sewing. Is it sewing along the edges? Love it.
