Join us all month long as we post challenges based on the "Casino Night" theme.
We'll be focusing on the actual event, the party guests and most importantly, the exciting games! C'mon - show us YOUR best POKER face.

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....


When I think of a Casino I hear the cling, cling ,cling sound of massive coins falling from the machine. A JACKPOOT winner!! My challenge to you is to think of something in your life or photos where you feel like you have won the Jackpot. My example is one with my scrapping friends, I hit the jackpot with such great friends to scrap with every month. ( I also thought of hitting the Jackpot with Family, scenery, food you can really pick just about anything) also add some twine, pinked edges and an unusual embellishment. It can be anything you don't use regularly. I chose the Jack of clubs, etc. hitting the Jackpot with friends could also represent clubs! It's a picture of our (club) scrapping group

What a fun layout, Ms. Tamara........I love it! Great challenge too!

twine, pinked edges (I didn't have pinking shears, so I used a zigzag border punch), unusual embellishment (I made an embellishment from a ladybug that I cut from a larger piece of my daughter's artwork), and photos that reflect winning a jackpot. I live in THE best neighborhood in Philly, and we have THE best community. We have an annual ladybug release party and all sort of other fun things that are organized by people in my neighborhood.
