A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....




If you have ever been to a magic show, the magician entertains everyone. All eyes are on him to see if we can figure out how he is creating the illusion and mesmerizing the audience. My Uncle Herman used to come in town in the summers and we would invite all the neighbors to a magic show in our back yard. He was the funnest guy and put on quite the show. I remember as a child feeling the excitement of it all.
For todays challenge , the magic is simple. Entertaining is when a group of people get together. Use a group of people somewhere on your creation. Also the magic is in the two sided torn paper, so add some of torn paper and also my
Uncle used to do this rope trick, he cut it in half right in front of us, then poof, three taps and the rope appeared put back together. So add some jute or twine on your creation. You are now an official magician!! How does it feel?
