“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to the magical world of Cookin' up Creations. . . Join us all month long as we amaze you with our trickery & slight of hand fun! Lots of magic here! Prepare to be amazed!”
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
Pick a card, any card.
Magicians often use playing cards in their acts and it usually requires an audience member. The audience member will choose a card from a fanned out deck. He or she will look at the card and place it back in the deck. With a slight wave of the magicians hand, he will reveal the card the audience member chose. Leaving the entire audience wondering, how did he do that?
For this challenge I want you to choose a suit (spades, hearts, diamonds or clubs) and display them on your layout. I want to be able to see which suit you chose by looking at your layout, so use several. I also want you to include some thread, string, ribbon or twine.....as well as a touch of gold.
Here is my layout. Can you tell which suit I chose without asking?
