I found a tutorial (with patttern) on Pinterest for making adorable mini top hats from fleece or felt:

I bought a 1/4 yard of black fleece, some wired ribbon, chunky glitter and decorations and went to town! I opted for the no-sew glue gun assembly with the medium size hat. It looks a bit lumpy and lop-sided, but I like the sort of worn effect. There are snowflakes on the top of the hat and a song title banner on the side.

It was fun to make. I think I'll try one in a large size and sew it; There was a photo elsewhere in Pinterest of a similar top hat used as a Christmas tree topper.

Love that these are seasonal and have a longer season than just Christmas.

here is mine, i was totally drawn to the snowflake and the embossing, the snowman is embossed in my layout. The large white snowflake was done with a very old quickutz die, cut with my sizzix big shot (it has 6 parts to it, total pain) and of course the song title LET IT SNOW

So pretty, Susie Love the picture down in the corner peeking out. Thanks for playing along!

Thank you, Patti! That day was a record low, I don't even remember the temperature. Around this time we usually have high temperatures in the 80s or 70s. Next week we are having a cold front coming in, and it will be in the 40s and 50s. Once in while we get a freeze warning and we have to cover plumbing, plants, and trees.

We are having unseasonably warm temps...50s...which I am loving but I think I would love your 80s more!
